  JW Bro-in law dies

  sunday my brother-in-law, loyd gardiner, died.

  he was an elder in the richmond, indiana congregation for about 50 years.. my son and i are having real problems deciding what to do.

  we had decided not to go to the services because almost everyone there will be jws and we do not see the need to expose ourselves to the rude treatment by them.. i got a phone message last night from someone, not baptized jw, who thought we should go to the viewing today, to show "our respects".

  I agree with Mouthy. I would call the Funeral home and see how late they are open. Then go right before they close..and sign the guest book. Unless you feel like some there are still a part of your life? Then maybe go early?

  I would do what I felt cmfortable with. I have to face that when my JW hubby goes..He has terminal cancer and I am not about to go into a kingdom hall. e wants to be cremated and I am sure either his Mom or his congregation will have some sort of memorial.I will not be there!..I love him dearly and will have no sevices ...We have a small family and the only others that would come is witnesses...no thanks!

  I want nothing more to do with ANY witnesses. They made their choice..I made mine!...

  They caused too much misery in our life!

  We are very fortunate & take it for granted

  we've just been watching an absolutely heart wrenching documentary on itv about a little girl with a very rare disease (progeria) which makes her age prematurely at 10 times the normal rate.

  she will be like an old woman by the time she is 10.. they have a meet-up where the little kids with the same condition can play and have fun together and seeing their poor little faces looking so happy is a wonder to behold.

  i guess it's easy to forget that inside they are still really little kids.

  I read you are going through radiation?

  My husband has liver and lung cancer. He had one series of chemo and it shrunk the lung tumor but the liver got worse. It is very hard to treat liver cancer because most chemo drugs go through the liver! There isn't much of his liver left.

  They could only use drugs that went through the kidneys..and there aren't too many of them!.

  We saw a new Dr today and he told him about a newer drug they could use but it would be very risky...it goes through the liver!

  He is a JW so he is not afraid to die. He said he is just afraid of pain.

  We are still trying to decide what to do!

  The chemo could stop or even shrink some of the tumors..but on the other hand..it could kill him faster!

  He just retired in January. He is 62 and never smoked!

  This thread is very important to me! We took a lot for granted. Now that time may be short...we don't even know where to begin...

  I hope your chemo goes well for you.

  I can't stress check-ups . At least the basics. He hasn't had a chest X Ray for years. If he had we might have caught it earlier.Before it spread.

  So don't take things for granted! And don't assume all is well!

  I have heard some say..I don't want to know....Yes you do!..The sooner the better!

  Especially with cancer!.

  Funny..hubby is so undecided as to what to do...I told him to pray for guidance!

  Pretty good coming from someone who has a hard time believing there is a God!.....

  No...I'm not going to get upset and call names. I'm not going to accuse you few of lying. You already know you are!.

  None of you can hurt me anymore!. Thank you for showing the board how heartless and cruel you really are! Especially mentioning my Husband!

  I could sit here and make excuses but I am really tired of it!. There are really just a few of you that continue to try and ruin my reputation. I think you are stuck on "Try to Destroy".

  I have not only been begging people to read my posts, but to also read the posts from Dragon..Ronnie..Kristina ..and Wind! These are really the only "Rat Pack " that continues to sling the mud! Dragon has gone..Ronnie is hinting that he is going..? So .."Garbage mouth...oops..Girl" Kristina..you only post once in a while to attack me! And Wind..you are so busy dating from your personal ad and second job at the gas station that I don't think you will be bothering me that much. So things should calm down finally! Hopefully people will feel free to express their OWN point of view once again!Including Silent Lambs!

  I see Ronnie tried to start it all up again on Tim's board and he got shut up real quick.

  You few are in the minority. The others on the board are supporting me or just don't want to get involved!.Either way is fine with me!.

  The sooner it stops the better everyone will be!

  Carrie..You don't have to tell Ronnie anything..I E Mailed him. I saved his address from when he E Mailed me to leave the boards...Right after he became friends with "Dragon and Wind!" Didn't you think it was cruel of him to bring up Dana's name again?...Oh well! Maybe you can help him not be so angry! He did used to be a really nice guy! And you seem like a pretty nice peson too!

  Hey...this guy could play like he is the Dragon if you want...he is getting just as obnoxious! He is a "Dragon wanna be!" A VERY loyal follower...I bet he could even be a "Witness" for the "Dragon"...They both lie!

  You and he must really hate Dana to bring her name up with lies......Just to try and hurt me!...

  Sorry Ronnie! You just made yourself look very cruel to me!..You are believing Dragons lies again. Some here prefer to hide heir heads in the sand...that's their problem.Just like a witness! You don't even queston him!.Just a loyal follower.....Tsk Tsk....Many leaders are able to "Charm " their followers..or so I have heard.Like a snake charmer! You do his dirty work for him!   They just had a service for 4 of them (JW's)here in Missouri. They were killed in Florida. They just had the memorial here last Sunday. They were saying 2,000 showed up for the memorial. They were trapped in a cab and burned up.Hit by 2 tractor trailers!

  Sad way to die!

  JW/HLC visit to our hospital

  yesterday jehovahs witnesses and the hospital liason committee visited our hospital to donate a blood cell saver machine which had been funded by the local congregations in our county of kent in england.

  a buffet lunch was provided, along with 4 talks to a large audience of surgical and medical consultants, anaetheologists, paedatricians, and obstetraticians (sp!

  ) about the future of blood and the transfusion of such products.

  Since Hubby is a JW..I had to read up on all that!. The thing that got me was the fact that they get the blood AFTER it leaves the artery!...To me that is the same as it leaving the body!..If someone has an open cut and it is spouting blood..they suck it up with the machine like vacumn as it comes out. Not while it is still in the vein.

  What is the difference? A shorter distance?.

  Also..on the point of it being continous.. If the needle gets pulled out of the arm or for some reason they need to stop in the middle to change a shunt or a needle. They have to stop the process! ..Thus you have no blood! It's trapped in the machine! They cannot disconnect for ANY reason!...If somehow the site gets contaminated..they have to stop!. Which means..any bood in the machine is theirs to keep!

  I actually laughed when I read about that procedure!

  I also had to keep from laughing when I had to EXPLAIN the procedure to hubby and his JW Mom!..They didn't have a clue..so much for defending their faith!...

  An apostate had to explain their religion to them!...Goes to show who they are really following when they don't even know what they believe! Not the Bible...Not God..the JW governing body...are their leaders!
